Mission and Vision

As an evangelical or “Gospel-centered” congregation, we believe that the mission and vision of any church must always be centered on this eternal message of God’s redeeming love in Christ. Everything flows from this central and primary truth — “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever should believe in Him would not perish but have eternal life…” (John 3:16).

As those whom God has called to live out the Christian faith in the global city of Paris, we embrace the following mission and vision statements:

The Great Commission

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
– Matthew 28:18-20, ESV

Our Mission Statement: By the grace and mercy of God and in response to the clear calling of Christ, we endeavor to humbly participate in God’s mission to reconcile and redeem fallen humanity through the proclamation of the eternal Gospel of His grace in Jesus Christ.

We commit and dedicate ourselves to first learn God’s Word and receive it with a growing and maturing faith, and then share the Good News of Jesus’s life, death, resurrection, and teaching with the world around us in a spirit of faith, hope, and love to the unending praise of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Great Commandment

“And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”
– Luke 10:25-28, ESV

Our Vision Statement: By the goodness of God and the power of His redeeming love at the Cross by His blood, we receive Christ’s call to be a community of light in the City of Lights. We choose to walk in intentional community, engaged with one another in sacrificial service for the good of others in expectation of God’s greater reward.

By our good works, we will prayerfully seek to be a powerful witness to those around us of the power of the Gospel for the salvation of every man, woman, and child. We look continually to Christ’s second coming when God’s holy and universal church from every nation, tribe, and language will be united in unending praise to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
